What is your approach when photographing a wedding?
When shooting weddings I like to bring my experience as a documentary, editorial, and portrait photographer to the day. I love working in a non-invasive way, observing and documenting moments from the quiet and intimate to the messy and chaotic. I am also not shy about giving you directions when needed. Everyone is different, and we can work together to figure out the best approach for you.
Do you photograph digitally or on film?
The bulk of the wedding photographs I take are digital, but my images have an analogue and film-like quality. I also love to shoot on film (35mm, medium format, and polaroid). If you are interested in getting your wedding captured on film let me know.
Where are you based and do you travel?
I live in Toronto (with my partner, 3 year old daughter, and our cat) but I am always happy to travel. Over the last 12 years I have documented weddings and events around Canada, USA, and Europe.
I feel awkward in front of the camera, will you tell me what to do?
I know the feeling. Some people are naturals in front of the lens and others thrive with direction. In either case I’ll make sure you look and feel great :)
